Lavon Hightower Lewis
Lavon is a freelance writer, speaker, singer , ordained minister, whose weekly devotional column, Jewels From the Word, is currently published in five newspapers in northeast OK and KS.
Her article, “Joseph, Prince of Egypt”, was recently published in a gift book, Hello Future! Insights for the Graduate. She also writes a column Refuge of the Heart published at the Melody of the Heart online magazine.
She is the chairman of the board of the Fellowship of Christian Writers in Tulsa, Ok., as well as web manager and FCW Yahoo email group moderator.
Lavon and her high school sweet-heart have two grown children and two grandsons. She retired early from SW Bell after 32 years and now works part-time as a computer consultant, doing computer tutoring and repair.
